Dialogue between US and Ukrainian foreign ministers/ Blinken: We continue to provide military and diplomatic support to Ukraine
The US Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced the telephone conversation between the foreign ministers of the US and Ukraine. According to this report, Blinken promised his Ukrainian counterpart the continued military and diplomatic support of his country against Russia.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken spoke on the phone with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kolba on Saturday evening (October 1) about Ukraine's continued defense of its sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The parties also discussed Moscow's latest efforts to change Ukraine's borders, as well as the escalation of Russian forces' operations against Ukraine, including war crimes and human rights violations.
"The United States always respects Ukraine's internationally recognized borders, and we will continue to support Ukraine's efforts to regain its territory militarily and diplomatically," the US Secretary of State said in a telephone conversation.
Blinken also made promises about U.S. security assistance, including a $1.1 billion security aid package to Ukraine announced this week, as well as future arms deliveries to Ukraine.
According to the US State Department, the two foreign ministers also discussed efforts to ensure that Ukrainian grain continues to be delivered to those most in need around the world, as well as ensuring the safety of Ukraine's nuclear facilities.
