Two persons have died due to the outbreak of cholera in Nuristan province.The Islamic Emirate’s health authorities confirm that.

Afghan Voice Agency(AVA)_Monitoring, “The positive cases of cholera disease have increased in this province and hundreds of people have been infected with this virus so far,” said Naqibullah Noori, head of public health for Nuristan.

According to Noori, most of the people infected with cholera in this province are women and children. He has attributed the rapid spread of cholera in this province to the contamination of drinking water following heavy rains and floods.

In the meantime, the residents of Nuristan have expressed deep concern over the spread of cholera and demanded immediate measures to prevent the spread of this disease.
