The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs says that the earthquake and floods in some provinces of Afghanistan have affected thousands of people. According to this organization, more than 24 million people in the country need urgent humanitarian aid.

Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) said on Wednesday (September 7) that the earthquake and floods in some provinces of Afghanistan have affected thousands of people who need emergency aid as winter approaches.
 
According to OCHA, more than 24 million people in Afghanistan need urgent humanitarian aid.
 
Earlier, Amir Khan Muttaqi, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate, said in a press conference that they are not able to deal with the victims of recent natural disasters and that the financial and human losses of these incidents are very "huge".
 
He added that 200 people were killed and 300 others were injured due to the floods in Afghanistan in recent weeks, and 12 thousand residential houses and hundreds of thousands of acres of agricultural land were destroyed.
 
The Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate said in this meeting that: "I request countries, institutions, international organizations and good people to help the people suffering from the recent natural disasters."
 
He asked the countries of the world not to associate humanitarian aid with "political issues"; because these aids reach the people of Afghanistan and now people need these aids more than ever.
