Iran's deputy ambassador's visit to Jalalabad/ announcement of Iran's readiness to build health centers and start direct flights to Nangarhar
The Deputy of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Kabul, during his trip to Jalalabad city and the meeting he had with Mohammad Naeem Akhund, Governor and Amir Mohammad Aftab, Chief of Health of Nangarhar Province, about his country's readiness to build a health center for the diagnosis and treatment of diabetes and resuming direct flights. He has spoken to this province.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): Sayed Hassan Mortazavi, Iran's deputy ambassador in Kabul, met and discussed with the governor of the Islamic Emirate of Nangarhar, Mohammad Naeem Akhund, on Sunday (September 5, 2022).
In this meeting, Mortazavi said that in addition to participating in the reconstruction of Nangarhar Airport, Iran is ready for the direct travel of Afghan nationals from this province to Iran and the establishment of direct flights.
It has been said that the two sides have also talked about investing in trade and agriculture and creating a common room between Nangarhar and Iranian businessmen.
In a meeting with Amir Mohammad Aftab, the head of health of Nangarhar province, this Iranian official also discussed and exchanged opinions about the issues and problems of various medical sectors, including the diagnosis and treatment of incurable diseases in this province.
Seyed Hassan Mortazavi, Deputy of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran, said in this meeting that a technical team has arrived in Jalalabad city to provide technical requirements and efficient equipment in this center, and after their evaluation, practical work will be done regarding the establishment of a specialized center for disease diagnosis and treatment. Diabetes will start in Jalalabad city.
The deputy of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Kabul has also stated: The personnel who are introduced to work in this center will be sent to the Islamic Republic of Iran for further training, or specialized forces will enter Jalalabad from Iran to train them.
