The deputy security and law enforcement officer of the Ministry of Interior of Iran has stated that they have already reached an agreement with the Iraqi authorities so that Afghan nationals with special passports issued by the Iranian Passport Police can cross the Shalamcheh border. But these nationals have not yet succeeded in crossing the border, which is being pursued. He asked the Afghan pilgrims of Arbaeen Hussaini to refrain from visiting this border until further notice.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): Sayed Majid Mirahmadi, in an interview on Sunday night (September 4), noted: After consulting with the Iraqi authorities, they agreed that Pakistani pilgrims can cross the Shalamcheh border in a group by land, but they have not been able to coordinate yet.
