UNAMA condemned the attack on worshipers at a mosque in Herat province.

Afghan Voice Agency(AVA)_Monitoring, UNAMA in a statement on Saturday condemned the attack on worshippers in a mosque where several people were killed and injured and said that the violence against the Afghan people should be put to end.

Mawlavi Mujib Rahman Ansari, a prominent Islamic scholar was among several people killed in an explosion while offering Friday prayer in Gozargah Mosque in the capital of Herat province on Friday.

The heinous attack was widely condemned by the Afghan people and the international community.
