Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): On Monday, August 8, at the "We are with Russia" meeting, Yevgeny Balitsky, the governor of the Zaporizhia region, said: "I am saying an order to the Central Election Commission to hold a referendum on the reunification of the Zaporizhia region with Russia should prepare."
The resolution to hold the referendum was read by "Vladimir Rogov", a member of the senior council of the military-civil administration of the Zaporizhia region. Before that, he emphasized that the residents of Zaporizhia region and the residents of Russia are the same.
"We, the participants of this forum, declare that we see our future in partnership with Russia," Balitsky added. It is time to restore historical justice. "We are confident that as a member of Russia, the Zaporizhia region will be protected from any aggression."
He also said that based on the principle of free choice, considering the opinion of every resident of the region as the main value, the military-civil administration of Zaporizhia announces the holding of the referendum as a full-fledged component.
