After revealing the news that Ayman Zawahiri, the leader of al-Qaeda, was killed by an American drone, the foreign ministry of this country has warned about the possibility of revenge by the members of this terrorist group.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): The US State Department warned yesterday (Tuesday, August 2) that the US killing of Ayman Zawahiri, the leader of al-Qaeda, may force al-Qaeda supporters to target American facilities or citizens.
The US State Department said: "It is possible that after Zawahiri's death, the supporters of al-Qaeda or its affiliated terrorist organizations may seek to attack US facilities, personnel, or citizens."
However, the US State Department has announced more potential to curb possible Al-Qaeda attacks.
Ayman Zawahiri was killed two days ago as a result of an American drone attack in the Shirpur area of Kabul.
