Mawlavi Amir Khan Muttaqi, Acting Foreign Minister of the Islamic Emirate, during a meeting with Chinese Ambassador Wang Yu, asked him to legislate the process of issuing visas for Afghan businessmen.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA), Abdul Qahar Balkhi, spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate, wrote in a statement on his Twitter page this Sunday morning that the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate, Mawlavi Amir Khan Mottaqi, had met with the Chinese Ambassador.
The two sides discussed issues related to recent earthquake relief, political issues, Afghanistan-China trade, humanitarian aid and the awarding of Afghan student scholarships to China.
The Chinese ambassador also expressed his Foreign Minister's condolences and sympathy to Muttaqi in connection with the recent earthquake and announced his country's humanitarian assistance to the earthquake victims in the near future.
Mawlavi Muttaqi thanked his Chinese counterpart for his message of sympathy and humanitarian assistance and called for the acceleration of Chinese visas for Afghan businessmen.
The Chinese ambassador also said that they are preparing to start issuing visas to Afghan businessmen.
During the meeting, the two sides pledged to increase the export of Afghan juniper to China this year.
