For the eighth year in a row, Saudi officials have banned Yemeni citizens from performing Hajj rites.
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA) - Monitoring: The Yemeni Ministry of Guidance and Hajj and Umrah issued a statement saying: Saudi officials have taken measures against Yemeni citizens that make it impossible for Yemeni pilgrims to perform Hajj and Umrah.
According to Al-Masira TV, the ministry said in a statement: "Saudi Arabia is not cooperating with Yemeni offices and institutions so that Yemeni pilgrims cannot enter the country from different parts of Yemen to perform Hajj rituals."
Yemeni pilgrims have been barred from entering Mecca and Medina for eight years because Saudi Arabia has closed its skies to all Yemeni passenger flights.
Yemeni pilgrims are also unable to perform Hajj rituals by land, as Saudi Arabia's border crossings are also closed.
These Saudi actions have prevented hundreds of thousands of Yemeni citizens from fulfilling this divine duty.
According to the Yemeni Ministry of Guidance and Hajj and Umrah, these actions of the Saudi regime do not comply with any of the divine rules and social customs, or even the laws on which the religious rites are based.
