According to officials at the Ministry of Hajj and Religious Affairs, the plane of the first group of pilgrims flew to Saudi Arabia this morning (Sunday, June 12th).
Afghan Voice Agency (AVA): The convoy flew from Kabul Airport this morning (Sunday, June 12).
More than 13,000 people from Afghanistan are expected to attend this year's Hajj.
Saudi Arabia is once again allowing one million people to attend this year's Hajj after a two-year hiatus.
Participation in this ritual has been allowed only to Saudi citizens and residents for the past two years due to the outbreak of COVID-19.
