The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) said six new cases of Coronavirus were reported in the past 24 hours after testing 224 samples across Afghanistan, taking the tally to 39,233 confirmed cases so far.
The cases were reported in the provinces of Balkh (2), Kabul (1), Takhar (1), Kunduz (1) and Kunar (1).
The MoPH reported two deaths and no recoveries in the past day.
According to the statistics, there are 5,136 active cases of COVID-19 in Afghanistan with 32,642 recovered and 1,455 deaths.
