The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) said 59 samples, out of the 328 tested, were found to be positive for Coronavirus in the past 24 hours in Afghanistan.
The MoPH said new cases were reported in the provinces of Kabul (24), Herat (21), Balkh (11), nangarhar (1), Nuristan (1) and Kunar (1).
The total confirmed COVID-19 cases in the country reached 37,953 people.
The MoPH added that no new recoveries or deaths were recorded in the past day.
Therefore, Afghanistan has 7,957 active cases of Coronavirus at the moment, with 27,990 recoveries and 2,006 deaths.
