The Afghan forces thwarted militants bid to detonate four improvised explosive devices in Kabul, the Ministry of Defense (MoD) said.
According to a statement released by MoD, the militants had planted the bombs in the vicinity of Mosahi and Qarabagh districts and Tangi Mahipar.
The statement further added that the security forces managed to discover and defuse the bombs before the militants could detonate them and prevent deadly incidents that could inflict casualties on ordinary civilians.
The anti-government armed militants including Taliban have not commented in this regard so far.
Taliban and other armed insurgents frequently use improvised explosive devices as the weapon of their choice to target the security forces.
However, majority of such attacks inflict casualties on ordinary civilians.
