Afghan forces have discovered an explosive-laden truck in capital Kabul, foiling a potentially massive suicide attack in the city, the country's intelligence agency said on Tuesday.

The discovery was made by special units of the National Directorate of Security in Police District 12 of the city, the agency said in a statement.
Two members of Haqqani network who were tasked to carry out the attack were arrested, it said.
The network had planned to carry out an attack similar to that of a truck bomb attack outside the German embassy in May 2017 that killed at least 150 people, according to the statement.
