Eight people were killed when a rocket tip exploded in a religious seminary in Afghanistan's northern Takhar province, police said on Thursday.

Seven others were wounded in the blast which happened in Ishkamish district, Khalil Aseer, a spokesman for provincial police, told 1TV.

He said that the rocket tip had been brought to the religious seminary by the students and that all the victims were students.
