Seven Afghan local soldiers were killed in an attack by Taliban militants in central Parwan province early on Thursday, an official said.

The attack targeted an outpost of local army soldiers in Antan area of Seyagerd district around 2:00a.m., Waheeda Shahkar, a spokesperson for provincial governor, told 1TV.
One soldier was wounded in the assault, she said.
One of the insurgents was also killed in the counterattack, according to the official.
It was first major incident of violence after a three-day Eid ceasefire ended on Tuesday.
