The Ministry of Interior (MoI) says at least 14 civilians including women, children were killed and 15 others including the health workers were wounded in an attack on a hospital in Kabul.
Armed men stormed a hospital in the western part of the Kabul at around 10:00am on Tuesday, where the medical charity Doctors Without Borders (Medecins Sans Frontieres – MSF) runs a maternity clinic.
The 100-bed government-run facility is supported by Doctors Without Borders, which is also known by its French name Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF).
MoI in a press release said that three terrorists were killed and more than a hundred civilians were rescued by the security forces.
Condemning the attack in the strongest terms, the Interior Ministry called on the international judicial organization to seriously probe the incident.
