The Ministry of Public Health of Afghanistan (MoPH) confirmed new deaths as a result of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) while reporting at last 190 new positive cases in the past 24 hours.

The Ministry of Public Health of Afghanistan (MoPH) confirmed new deaths as a result of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) while reporting at last 190 new positive cases in the past 24 hours.
Wahid Majroh, the deputy minister of public health, told reporters in Kabul that the public health authorities recorded 190 positive cases of coronavirus across the country in the past 24 hours.
According to Majroh, the authorities recorded 41 new cases in Paktiya, 30 in Herat, 25 in Kandahar, 24 in Kabul, 17 in Kabul, 13 in Nangarhar, 11 in Nangarhar, 9 in Farah, 6 in Sar-e Pul, 5 in Kunar, 3 in Zabul, 2 in Paktika, 1 in Khost, 1 in Uruzgan, 1 in Helmand and another case in Nimroz province.
Majroh further added that the new positive cases increase the total number of infected individuals to 2,895 across the country.
He also added that 5 people died of the virus in the past 24 hours, including 1 in Herat, 1 in Kabul, 2 in Paktiya and 1 in Wardak province.
