Five people's uprising forces were killed after Taliban militants attacked their posts in Afghanistan's central Logar province last night, an official said Sunday.

Didar Lawang, a spokesman for provincial governor, said that the violence happened in Shirwazi area of the provincial capital Pul-i-Alam.

Taliban has yet to make comment on the attack.
