President Ghani and his electoral team officially began their new tenures.
Simultaneously, Dr. Abdullah Abdullah began his swearing-in ceremony as well.
In the first decree, President Ghani appointed Yusuf Ghazanfar as the Special Envoy for Governance, Economic Development, and Poverty Reduction.
US special envoy Zalmay Khalilzad, US Chargé d’Affaires Ross Wilson, and the US and NATO forces commander General Scott Miller attended president Ghani’s swearing-in ceremony.
Ambassadors of China, Pakistan, Spain, the US, Germany, France, Canada and special envoys of the US, UN, and the EU also attended president Ghani’s inauguration ceremony.
