Ambassador-at-large of the Foreign Ministry of Kazakhstan Talgat Kaliyev has been appointed as Special Representative of Kazakhstan for Afghanistan, Akorda reported.
The decree was signed by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
The head of state earlier on the sidelines of the 56th Munich Conference for Security held talks with President of Afghanistan Ashraf Ghani and then he told him about creation of the new position of Special Representative of Kazakhstan for Afghanistan.
Kaliyev was born in June 1962. He worked as temporary charge d'affaires of Kazakhstan in Romania, Ambassador to South Africa, Director of the department of foreign political analysis and forecasts of the Foreign Ministry of Kazakhstan.
