An Iranian official on Saturday announced that another person had died from COVID-19, pushing the country's total death toll to six.
The governor of Markazi province Ali Aghazadeh said that the person who died from COVID-19 in the central city of Arak also suffered from a heart disease, the official IRNA news agency reported.
Earlier on the day, Kianush Jahanpur, head of Public Relations and Information Center of the Ministry of Health and Medical Education, announced that 28 Iranians have been confirmed as infected by the virus, out of which five had died.
Most of the infected people are from the central city of Qom, he said, adding that others are from Tehran and Rasht.
