The Ministry of Interior (MoI) in a report has said that Nearly 7,400 Afghan civilians were killed and wounded as a result of suicide attacks and explosions in 2019.
According to MoI report, 2,219 civilians were killed another 5,170 were wounded in 2019.
MoI has stated that the Taliban have conducted several suicide and guerilla attacks, and bomb blasts over civilians to fulfill their illegitimate demands.
“The majority of the casualties occurred as a result of terrorist attacks and roadside mine explosions (IEDs),” said Nusrat Rahimi, a spokesman for the Ministry of Interior.
The report added, August, September and October 2019 were the most deadly months for the Afghan civilians during last year.
