At least 51 anti-government militias including a suicide attacker were killed during clearing operations conducted by Afghan security forces within the last 24 hours across the country.

Ministry of national defense press office by releasing a statement issued media, the military operations have launched by support of Afghan air forces to annihilate armed oppositions, ensure peace and stability and protect the lives and properties of people in insecure areas of Paktia, Baghlan, Kandahar, Balkh, Urozgan, Zabul, Badghis, Ghazni and Herat provinces.

Including a suicide attacker 51 insurgents were killed, 4 others were wounded and seven suspicious people have arrested during the mopping-up operations, the statement added.

Some heavy and light weapons and several hideouts belonged to the terrorists have been demolished during the clearing operations, the statement concluded.
