The provincial police chief of Badghis province was shot killed by Taliban in Kabul on Thursday, officials confirmed.
The spokesman of the Ministry of Interior (MoI), Nasrat Rahimi has confirmed the incident, saying Sharifullah Chamto, police chief of western Badghis province, was killed in Police District 5 of the city around 12:45PM.
Rahimi further added that the Badghis Police chief was in Kabul to spend his vacation.
Taliban in a tweet claimed responsibility for killing the Police chief.
This comes as the security forces killed a terrorist who opened fire on an officer of the Afghan National Police in Kabul today.
