Afghan election commissioner, Mawlana Abdullah, claimed that an armed man chasing him was arrested in Kabul city on Sunday.
Speaking at a press conference, Abdullah said that he was returning from funeral of one of his relatives when his guards noticed the man on motorcycle chasing them.
He said that the individual was arrested during traffic congestion in Sarai Shamli area, Police District 17.
One Makarov pistol ready for firing, a communication device and a knife were seized from the man.
The man was also carrying an employee ID card apparently belonging to a media outlets.
