At least 12 Taliban fighters have been arrested in Balkh province, army officials confirmed.

209 Shaheen Corps in a statement said that 12 insurgents were detained in a raid of Afghan National Army Special Units in Arzan Kar area, Chakar Bolak district of Balkh at around 11:30 MP Saturday.
The statement noted that the operation was carried out on a hideout of Taliban group.
Some military equipment of Taliban group were also seized by the forces, the statement added.
