He made the remarks during a gathering with the members of the Afghan National Defense and Security Forces in Kabul on Tuesday.
Furthermore, Ghani spoke regarding the intentions by certain circles to repeat the era after the fall of the government of Dr. Najibullah in which the Afghan armed forces collapsed.
Without disclosing further information, Ghani promised that no deal would be made regarding the future of the Afghan National Defense and Security Forces.
He also emphasized that any deal that would not guarantee the identity and the national authority of the armed forces would not be accepted.
The Afghan military collapsed due to the differences and conflict among the Mujahideen groups after the fall of Dr. Najibullah’s government in early 90s.
This comes as the Taliban leader Sher Abbas Stanikzai had earlier said that Afghan army should be dissolved after a peace deal is signed to end the conflict.
