The U.S. and Afghan forces conducted operations in south-eastern Ghazni province inflicting heavy casualties on Taliban militants.

The 203rd Thunder Corps in a statement said Saturday that the U.S. forces conducted the airstrikes in Sarkai area of Andar and Kandar and Pai Loch areas of Deh Yak districts.
The statement further added that the airstrikes killed 17 Taliban militants.
The airstrikes also destroyed 4 motorcycles, 2 vehicles, a Dshk heavy machine gun, a rocket launcher and two PKM machine guns.
Furthermore, the 203rd Thunder Corps said the Afghan forces killed 5 Taliban militants and wounded 8 others during a clash in Syedabad district of Wardak province.
