A police company commander was killed following verbal clash with a sergeant in northern Kunduz province on Sunday, an official said.
Commander Abdul Wahab died in hospital after being shot by Sergeant Abdul Wajib around 10:30a.m.
Syed Sarwar Hussaini, a spokesman for Kunduz police, said that the sergeant fled to residential houses and police launched an operation to nab him.
It is not clear why the duo were engaged in clash.
