Afghan President Ashraf Ghani on Sunday left for the United Kingdom where he will attend Afghanistan's World Cup match against hosts England.
The match, which will be Afghanistan’s fifth in the tournament, is scheduled to held in Manchester city on Tuesday.
President Ghani headed to London following an official invitation from England.
Leading a high-level delegation, Ghani is expected to hold meetings with officials of the hosting country.
Afghanistan have so far played against Australia, Sri Lanka, New Zealand and South Africa, and they have yet to secure a win in the tournament.
This is not the first time President Ghani is attending a cricket match. In 2014, he attended a match between Afghanistan and Pakistan in Islamabad.
