Addressing the fifth summit of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA), Afghan Chief Executive Abdullah Abddullah on Saturday reiterated call on countries to deny safe haven to terrorists and tools that they use for their activities.
For this, he said countries should increase cooperation, as “no country by itself alone could solve the problem of terrorism.”
Abdullah said that Afghanistan is “thirsty for peace” and that it will make efforts to achieve peace.
He said that peace in Afghanistan would benefit also the region.
He thanked countries who took initiatives on Afghan peace efforts, hoping cooperation in this regard will increase.
“We cannot leave one another alone in the fight against regional terrorism and increasing threat of terrorist groups such as Daesh in the region,” Abdullah said.
