The U.S. forces carried out airstrikes in support of the Afghan forces in Zurmat district of Paktiya province killing 11 Taliban militants.

The 203rd Thunder Corps in a statement said the airstrikes also wounded five Taliban militants.
The statement further added that the airstrikes also destroyed a heavy machine gun and a vehicle belonging to Taliban militants.
Meanwhile, the Afghan forces killed three Taliban militants during a clash in Jalriz district of Wardak province.
A clash also broke out between the security forces and Taliban militants in Khairkot district of Paktika province.
According to 203rd Thunder Corps, the security forces killed four Taliban militants and wounded another militant during the same clash.
