The Afghan Special Forces conducted a raid in south-eastern Ghazni province killing at least 25 Taliban militants.
The military sources said Sunday that the Special Forces conducted the raid in Giro district of the province.
The sources further added that the Afghan Special Forces killed at least nine militants during the raid.
The Special forces also also detained 2 Taliban militants during the same operation.
Furthermore the security forces conducted an airstrike in Muqer district of Ghazni killing at least 16 militants.
According to military sources, the airstrike was carried out after a group of Taliban militants attacked a check post of the Afghan National Defense and Security Forces.
Meanwhile, an airstrike was carried out in Gomal district of south-eastern Paktika province which killed one Taliban fighter, the military sources added.
The anti-government armed militants including Taliban have not commented regarding the operations so far.
This comes as the security situation in some districts of Ghazni province has deteriorated during the recent months.
Taliban militants are active in various restive areas and remote districts of the province.
Meanwhile, the Afghan forces are busy conducting counter-terrorism operations against both groups in this province.
The U.S. forces also conduct regular airstrikes in restive districts of Ghazni to suppress Taliban and other anti-government militants.
