Mohammad Salem Almas the Chief of Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of Kabul Police has been dismissed from his position.

AVA- Kabul police spokesman Ferdows Faramarz said on Saturday that Mueenuddin Syal has been appointed as his replacement.
Later on, Kabul police said in a statement that the new CID Chief has officially assumed his position during a ceremony.
Security sources say that Gen. Almas dismissed due to increased criminal activities in the capital Kabul.
