The security officials have confirmed that the sounds of sporadic gunfire followed by an explosion have been heard close to the ministry of telecommunications and information technology in Kabul city.
A spokesman for the Ministry of Interior Nasrat Rahimi confirmed the incident but added that the nature of explosion has not been ascertained so far.
Rahimi further added that further details in this will be shared later.
