Afghan Paralympics swimmer Abbas Karimi has won 4 gold medals in world Paralympics qualifying tournament which was organized in United States.
Karimi managed to win silvers medals by competing in 50 meters freestyle, 100 meters freestyle, 50 meters butterfly stroke, and 50 meters backstroke and qualified to World Paralympics Games.
Currently residing in the United States, Karimi is a prominent Afghan Paralympic swimming athlete who started his career while he was only 14-year-old.
He has managed to win medals in several international competitions in Afghanistan, Turkey, and the United States.
Karimi won gold medals with three wins and one loss during the U.S. Paralympics National Championships in late December last year.
He had competed in three categories in U.S. Paralympics National Championships, including 50m freestyle, 50m backstroke, and 100m freestyle.
