Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Qassemi offered sympathies to the Afghan government and people on the recent floods affecting the neighboring country.

AVA- Bahram Qasemi made the remarks referring to the recent flood in Afghanistan.
"Iranian and Afghan governments and people are standing along each other in difficult times," Qassemi said on Sunday.
The Iranian foreign ministry spokesman expressed regret over the causalities and the losses caused to the properties resulting from floods in various cities of Afghanistan.
Qassemi also sympathized with families of the victims of the incident.
Heavy rain and flood claimed the lives of 20 people and injured hundreds of others in Northern and Western Afghanistan.
The incident also killed thousands of animals and destroyed 4,000 houses.
