More than 30 militants affiliated with the Taliban and ISIS Khurasan groups were killed or wounded during the latest operations and airstrikes which were conducted in the past 24 hours in various provinces of the country.
According to informed military sources, “The Afghan Special Forces conducted a multi-day raid in Chahar district of Kunduz province. During infil, the Afghan Special Forces were engaged from a Taliban fighting position and two air strikes were conducted in self-defense killing 8 Taliban fighters.”
The sources further added that similar airstrikes were carried out in Tarinkot city of Uruzgan, Bermal and Gomal districts of Paktika, and Khugyani district of Nangarhar province.
At least 24 Taliban and ISIS-K militants were killed during the same airstrikes and another ISIS-K militant was wounded, the sources added.
The anti-government armed militant groups have not commented regarding the report so far.
