The Pakistani military officials have claimed that the Pakistan Air Force fighter jets have shot down two Indian aircrafts in its airspace in Kashmir.
“In response to PAF strikes this morning as released by MoFA, IAF crossed LOC. PAF shot down two Indian aircrafts inside Pakistani airspace,” Gen. Asif Ghafoor, a spokesman for the Military of Pakistan said in a statement.
He also added “One of the aircraft fell inside AJ&K while other fell inside IOK. One Indian pilot arrested by troops on ground while two in the area.”
The Indian officials have not commented regarding the Pakistani claims so far.
The Indian media outlets quoting Air Force officials had earlier reported that three Pakistani Air Force F-16 jets had crossed into Nowshera of Jammu and Kashmir but were forced to retreat after confronted by Indian fighter jets.
