Afghan NUG’s chief of executive directorate (CE) Abdullah Abdullah, said at a commemoration ceremony of the 40th victory anniversary of the Islamic Revolution of Iran held at the Iranian embassy in Kabul on Thursday that despite challenges, the relations between Afghanistan and Iran is at high levels.
AVA- Afghan NUG’s chief of executive directorate (CE) Abdullah Abdullah, said at a commemoration ceremony of the 40th victory anniversary of the Islamic Revolution of Iran held at the Iranian embassy in Kabul on Thursday that despite challenges, the relations between Afghanistan and Iran is at high levels.
Mr. Abdullah congratulated the 40th victory anniversary of the Islamic revolution of Iran to the leader, president and the people of Iran.
“The Islamic Revolution of Iran which was rooted in the Iranian people’s beliefs and worldview; was a change at the regional and world level,” said Dr. Abdullah. Adding that “Despite complexities and difficult conditions, Iran has cooperated with the Afghan people and the government of Afghanistan, both in the periods of jihad and resistance, or at the new stage.”
CE Abdullah said the presence of various political movements and the Afghan people at this ceremony indicate good relations between the two countries.
According to him, Relations between the two governments are on a good level, and various committees work on a comprehensive document about relations between the two countries.
“The neighbors face common threats, opportunities, and prospects,” he added, saying the neighbors have a long-term life together.
Mr Abdullah appreciated Iran’s stance about the peace process, saying that we want an Afghan-led and Afghan-owned peace process and that there is not any priority for us, other than putting an end to the 40-year war.
“We hope to witness a just and acceptable peace for all in the country,” he stressed.
