Hezb-i-Islami Afghanistan (HIA) leader Gulbuddin Hekmatyar’s second vice-presidential candidate Qazi Hafiz Rahman Naqi was injured in an armed attack in Kabul on Tuesday evening, the party said.

Hezb-i-Islami Afghanistan (HIA) leader Gulbuddin Hekmatyar’s second vice-presidential candidate Qazi Hafiz Rahman Naqi was injured in an armed attack in Kabul on Tuesday evening, the party said.
AVA- Haroon Zakhilwal, HIA Secretariat member, told media that Qazi Hafiz Rahman Naqi was on his way home when came under attack from unknown gunmen in Doghabad locality of Kabul city at around 6pm.
He added Naqi and his secretary were injured in the attack, but they were said to be out of danger.
Meanwhile, HIA spokesman Fazal Ghani also confirmed the incident to media.
There has been no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack.
