Afghan security forces killed 41‘terrorists’ and wounded 40 others in fire exchange as part of a crackdown on terrorist hideouts across Afghanistan.
AVA- The Defense Ministry explained that army, police and intelligence forces raided terrorist havens in Nangarhar, Kapisa, Paktia, Zabul, Uruzgan, Herat, Badghis, Faryab, Balkh and Helmand provinces.
Statement said that in these operations 41 insurgents were killed and 40 others wounded.
Afghan National and Defense Security forces shelled and bombed the enemies’ positions and sanctuaries by artilleries and air forces.
During these operations in the past 24 hours, 12 insurgents were killed, 15 wounded and seven motorbike belonged to the enemy destroyed in Ab Kamari district of Badghis, nine militants were killed and eight others wounded in Khogyani district of Nangarhar, eight rebels were killed and three others wounded in Posht rod district of Farah, seven terrorist were killed and 12 others wounded in Arghandab district of Zabul province.
Similar, two insurgents were killed and two others wounded in Chahar Bolak district of Balkh, two militants were killed in center of Uruzgan and one rebel was killed in Sangeen district of Helmand province.
In past 24 hours, seven planed clearing operations and 93 Special Forces operations conducted in different provinces; also air forces conducted 40 aerial operations supporting Afghan National army including four strikes on enemy’s sanctuaries.
ANA discovered and confiscated weapons and ammunition in the operations as well.
ANA as the nation’s defense forces are ready to give sacrifice to bring lasting peace and security to the people and are determined to eradicate terror groups in Afghanistan.
