At least seven Taliban militants have been killed during the separate operations of the Afghan and Coalition Forces in three southern provinces of the country.
Informed military sources confirm that a coalition air strike in Shah Joy district of Zabul killed 2 known Taliban bomb facilitators and attack coordinators.
The sources further added that the Afghan Special Operations Forces conducted a raid in Tarin Kot city of Uruzgan province, killing 2 Taliban fighters.
In the meantime, Coalition air strikes in Nahr-e Saraj and Garm Ser districts of Helmandn left 3 Taliban fighters dead while a weapons cache was also destroyed.
Both the Afghan and Coalition Forces have stepped up ground operations and airstrikes against the anti-government armed militants in the restive parts of the country.
