Wolesi Jirga approved FY-1398 National Budget by majority of vote where H.E. Mohammad Humayon Qayoumi, Acting Minister of Finance and Chief Advisor on Infrastructure to H.E the President, was present.

The total amount of FY-1398 is 399 billion AFs making up 275 billion ordinary budget and 124 billion-development budget.
The government priority in FY-1398 national budget document accounted for  security, infrastructure, education, governance, agriculture and rural rehabilitation sectors respectively 41%, 14%, 13%, 9% and 8% from the total amount of FY-1398 national budget.
Likewise, 49% of FY-1398 national budget would come from the domestic revenue and the rest in form foreign aid.
The leadership of Ministry of Finance thanked representatives of people in Wolesi Jirga for timely approval of the national budget.
