The Ministry of Interior (MoI) has directed police personnel to avoid attending weddings and funerals in uniform and with guns.

AVA- MoI deputy spokesman Nasrat Rahimi on his Facebook page wrote the police forces had been restricted from attending the events of sorrow and happiness in uniform and with guns.
The police have also been asked to avoid going for shopping with families and those who violated the order would be dealt with in accordance with the law.
Amarullah Saleh has been appointed as new interior minister. The MoI yesterday asked police not to share information with media and abstain from taking part in discussions on the media.
