At least 44 armed oppositions were killed during several joint military operations led by Afghan National Defense and Security Forces within the last 24 hours across the country.

Ministry of national defense press office stated the operations have been conducted by support of Afghan air and artillery forces to suppress anti-government militias in insecure areas of Kunar, Nangarhar, Ghazni, Maidan/Wardak, Khost, Paktia, Logar, Paktika, Kandahar, Zabul, Ghor, Balkh, Badghis, Samangan, Faryab and Helmand provinces. As many as 44 terrorists were killed and 11 others were wounded during the military operations, the source added.
