Army Chop Crash Lands In Faryab; No Casualties

An Afghan National Army helicopter made an emergency landing and caught fire in a village in Faryab province on Wednesday evening, the provincial governor Naqibullah Fayiq said. 


AVA- The incident took place in Sar-e-Hawz village in Pashtun Kot district in Faryab when the helicopter wanted to take off but caught fire due to technical problems, local media reported.  
The source said six ANA helicopters were on the way to Pashtun Kot district to transfer residents of Sar-e-Hawz village but one of them made an emergency landing.
He said no one on board were hurt in this incident. 
A source speaking on condition of anonymity told media that the helicopter faced technical issues in an insecure region in the district and it is expected it would be destroyed.
The governor said the residents of the village were under siege by militants and that they faced lack of food and other necessities. 
He said they were taken to Maimana City, the provincial capital.
