Hosts Sri Lanka defeated Afghanistan by one wicket in Emerging Teams Asia Cup on Saturday.
Afghanistan, who batted first after winning the toss, made 210 before they were all out in the 47.5 overs in Colombo.
Karim Janat hit 68 for Afghanistan but it went in vain as the hosts chased the down the target by one wicket and with four balls remaining.
It was second consecutive win for Afghanistan after that against India in their opener.
Afghanistan will face Oman in their final group game of the tournament on Monday.
